These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Mæstro application (“the App”) operated by Mæstro UG (haftungsbeschränkt), registered in Germany (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Overview

Mæstro is a gamified music learning app that helps users practice instruments regularly and stay motivated through interactive lessons and challenges.

2. Eligibility

The App is designed for users of all ages, including children under 16. For users under the age of 16, parental or guardian consent is required before registration or use of any personalized features.

3. User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts violating these Terms.

4. Use of the App

  • You agree to use the App only for educational and non-commercial purposes.
  • You may not reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute the App’s code or materials.
  • All audio recordings and practice data you provide are used solely to deliver feedback and improve your experience.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and technology in the App are owned by Mæstro UG or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the App for personal learning purposes.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

The App may offer free and premium features. Payment terms, where applicable, will be clearly presented at purchase. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law.

7. Data and Privacy

By using the App, you agree to the collection and processing of personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. We comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

8. Parental Consent

For users under 16, a parent or guardian must review and approve the Privacy Policy and these Terms. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without consent.

9. Limitation of Liability

Mæstro UG shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the App. The App is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind, except where required by law.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or misuse the App. Upon termination, your access will cease, and related data may be deleted according to our retention policy.

11. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be announced within the App or via email. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany. In case of dispute, the exclusive jurisdiction is the court of Berlin, unless otherwise required by law.
